Fotografía analógica en placa Ektachrome de 4”x5”

Proyecto basado en la “no memoria” como sociedad después del conflicto interno armado que se vivió el Perú entre 1980 hasta el 2000.

Presuntamente, no hay momento de nuestro pasado -inmediato o no- donde  hubiésemos estado conciliados como sociedad, por tanto se intuye que  carecemos de aquél sentido colectivo que busca esforzarse por un bien común que nos beneficie a todos. Como consecuencia nos hemos golpeado,  hemos sufrido un mal colectivo a nivel de Nación. Sin embargo, es innegable que los que más sufrieron, a causa de la lucha armada -sea de parte de los terroristas o militares- fueron los campesinos, asesinados y ultrajados en las zonas  rurales de la Sierra y la Amazonía.

La serie Sana busca acercarse a la tierra, y a través de la representación  fotográfica de plantas milenarias utilizadas en la medicina tradicional, plantea una lectura sutil y simbólica sobre la «curación de las heridas» que el Perú  profundo sufrió en las décadas del 80 y 90.

Project based on «non-memory» as a society after the internal armed conflict that Perú experienced between 1980 and 2000.

Presumably, there is no moment in our past – immediate or not – where we would have been reconciled as a society, therefore it is intuited that we lack that collective sense that seeks to strive for a common good that benefits us all. As a consequence we have hurt each other, we have suffered a collective evil at the Nation level. However, it is undeniable that those who suffered the most, because of the armed struggle – whether on the part of the terrorists or the military – were the peasants, murdered and outraged in the rural areas of the Sierra and the Amazon.

The Sana series seeks to get closer to the earth, and through the photographic representation of ancient plants used in traditional medicine, it proposes a subtle and symbolic reading about the «healing of wounds» that deep Perú suffered in the 80s and 90s.
