El único Museo de Historia Natural ubicado en la ciudad de Lima es administrado por la Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, institución que se encuentra bajo la tutela de l  Ministerio de Educación del Perú.

La serie fotográfica Colección natural, documenta los espacios de investigación científica, de dicha institución. Estos laboratorios  corresponden a las diferentes áreas de estudio de biología, del museo de historia natural, a los cuales los espectadores no suelen tener acceso,  únicamente los profesores de la universidad y sus respectivos alumnos.

El proceso de investigación científica se lleva a cabo sobre la base de observación constante y objetiva, analogía que se espera mantener en el punto de vista de la serie fotográfica. Estos ambientes son anfitriones de millones de archivos orgánicos, que se acumulan y envejecen en los espacios del museo. Dicha relación crea una atmósfera especial entre el estudio del paso del tiempo por medio de objetos y aun de esta manera, generar a través de la fotografía una sensación de atemporalidad.

The only Natural History Museum located in the city of Lima is administered by the National University of San Marcos, an institution that is under the tutelage of the Ministry of Education of Peru.

The photographic series Natural Collection documents the scientific research spaces of this institution. These laboratories correspond to the different areas of study of biology, of the museum of natural history, to which the spectators do not usually have access, only the professors of the university and their respective students.

The process of scientific research is carried out on the basis of constant and objective observation, an analogy that is expected to be maintained in the point of view of the photographic series. These environments are host to millions of organic files, which accumulate and age in the spaces of the museum. This relationship creates a special atmosphere between the study of the passage of time through objects and even in this way, generate through photography a sense of timelessness.
