Medium format analog photography [Fotografia analoga de formato medio]

At the threshold between the subtle and the sinister, the Rama [Branch] series calmly observes the bodies of the trees as fragmented structures. The images present themselves as a poetic form of the concept of the threshold, between life and death, touch and sight, between the specific place and the atmosphere. In the contained movement of the branches, questions arise about the state of things: what falls, what holds, what leaves a trace, what is the effect of earth and air upon matter? The organic is interpreted through photography, where the camera becomes the companion with whom the threshold is crossed.

En la frontera entre lo sutil y lo siniestro, la serie Rama observa en calma los cuerpos de los árboles como estructuras fragmentadas. Las imágenes se presentan como una forma poética del concepto del umbral, entre la vida y la muerte, el tacto y la vista, entre el lugar específico y la atmósfera. En ese movimiento de las ramas contenidas, surgen preguntas sobre el estado de las cosas: ¿Qué cae, qué sostiene, qué deja huella, cuál es el efecto de la tierra y el aire sobre la materia? Lo orgánico se interpreta por medio de la fotografía, donde la cámara es la compañera con la que se atraviesa el umbral.
