Rama

2010-2006
Medium format analog photography

At the threshold between the subtle and the sinister, the Rama [Branch] series calmly observes the bodies of the trees as fragmented structures.

The images present themselves as a poetic form of the concept of the threshold, between life and death, touch and sight, between the specific place and the atmosphere.

In the contained movement of the branches, questions arise about the state of things: what falls, what holds, what leaves a trace, what is the effect of earth and air upon matter? The organic is interpreted through photography, where the camera becomes the companion with whom the threshold is crossed.
