Perímetro Sur

Perímetro Sur [Perimeter South] documents the boundary zones toward the southern edge of Metropolitan Lima. The work explores the landscape as a testimony to the apparent social and economic improvement brought by the industrial boom that took place in Peru between 2000 and 2015.

The images reveal an imperious human need to delimit the vast desert terrain, where dunes and fog blur the limits and borders of property.

The interventions leave traces on the surface and in the depths, revealing a transformation of the littoral that emerges between exploitation and abandonment in the name of modernity.
